Want to burn your CDs quicker in Windows?
windows xp has burning software built in which can cause problems sometimes when burning with other programs. If you decide that you really want to use one of the many other programs to available out there for burning your CDs you can turn Windows XPs burning tool off like this.
Go to "administrative tools" in the control panel.
In the "services" list, disable the IMAPI CD-Burning COM service.
Note that typically Microsoft has delivered a very sound and reliable software for burning into the operating system already. So there is no need to go out and purchase or even download other software for this job. Unless you have a need for all the extra bells and whistles such as fading, sound effects ect.
