Installing MP4Box can be a bit different from server OS to OS and depending on how you or your provider decided to configure the server. Notice the other post on how that guy did it but after some phone time with my hosting company this is how it was done on my linux box. (albeit the bargain basment server that was offered on clearance)
MP4Box is a MP4 multiplexer and used for conversion, splitting, hinting, dumping and to import MPEG-4 video, DivX, h264, XviD, 3ivx or FFmpeg and audio streams into the .MP4 container. The end result is a compliant MP4 stream. MP4Box is part of the GPAC Project framework. It is a command line tool, but can be used with graphical user interfaces such as YAMB or my MP4box GUI.
Getting following error after installation of MP4Box. MP4Box did not find libgpac.so
code:
root@ffmpeg [/usr/local/src/gpac]# /usr/local/bin/MP4Box /usr/local/bin/MP4Box: error while loading shared libraries: libgpac.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory try following
The shared libary was compiled, but is not installed to /usr/local/lib. This can be fixed as
root@ffmpeg [/usr/local/src/gpac]# /usr/local/bin/MP4Box MP4Box [option] input [option] -h general: general options help -h hint: hinting options help -h import: import options help -h encode: encode options help -h meta: meta handling options help -h extract: extraction options help -h dump: dump options help -h swf: Flash (SWF) options help -h crypt: ISMA E&A options help -h format: supported formats help
