Published on 03/10/09 at 09:08:01 EST by Admin
WIndows XP
22/05/2020: Searching for a file on your computer
04/01/2011: VPN Disabled the Welcome Screen
04/01/2011: Hide Users from the Welcome Screen
04/01/2011: The Administrator Logon Dialog Box May Be Hidden
04/01/2011: Users Are Missing from Welcome Screen in Safe Mode
So you want to get rid of that pesky screen that ask for a password when you start up the computer. OK heres how:
Push Start
Push Run
Type in "user passwords2" and push enter. If that doesn't work (nothing happens) then type "control userpasswords2"
Note that there is only one space, between r & p or l & u.
On the User tab, at the top unslect checkbox for "user must enter username and password to use the computer"
Select OK and then restart the computer.
